Richard brings over 20 years of experience in guiding leaders’ development, particularly in the areas of EQ, Executive Presence, Communication Effectiveness and Leading in Global and Matrixed Environments.

His background as a Licensed Psychologist has enabled Richard to develop a keen understanding of the attitudes and behavioral habits that are employed by the most successful leaders across industries.

He is able to perform detailed assessments of leaders’ mindsets and behavioral patterns and pinpoint where growth and development are needed. He is highly skilled at partnering with executives, delivering sensitive feedback in an actionable manner and imparting direction and encouragement in a way executives find highly effective.

Richard has been engaged by a wide array of companies for his coaching expertise across a broad array of industries, including financial services, law, pharmaceutical, advertising and technology. He has coached individuals in North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australia.

Richard has an MS and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology. He received coaching certification in the Manchester Executive Coaching Program. He is a New York State Licensed Psychologist and is certified in many assessment and coaching instruments, including CCL Benchmarks 360, Compass/Executive Compass, Lominger Voices 360, 16 PF, EQ-I, FIRO-B, Hogan HDS, Hogan HPI, MBTI, Neo-PIR and SHL OPQ.

Transition a turnaround CFO into a trusted partner The client company brought in Richard to address the perception of their CFO as being untrustworthy and a non-team player. As a result of the coaching process the CFO was able to successfully turn around the most crucial and most damaged of his relationships, key personnel were able to be retained and the CEO and Chairman were able to view the CFO as a positive force in building the business going forward.

Newly promoted sales manager needs skill upgrading Company was looking to promote a star salesperson to sales management in a key growth area. Richard guided him through this transition, helping him develop the needed skills and attributes. Individual made a successful transition to the new sales manager position, growing his business acumen and strategic view and partnering successfully to grow his product line.
