Helen Materazzi has over 25 years’ experience in global human resources, organizational learning and business strategy execution. She is a trusted advisor, skilled coach, master facilitator and hands-on consultant known for her ability to cut through complexity and provide clarity and focus to senior leaders, driving change and accelerating improved business results.

Having held senior positions in global corporations, Helen understands the challenges leaders face and rapidly uncovers ways to turn inertia into action. She operates as a true business partner and is often called upon to manage complex projects while concurrently strengthening the client’s capabilities to sustain the results. She works with leaders at all levels in diverse industries, including financial services, technology, manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical, telecommunications and entertainment.

Helen has extensive experience diagnosing complex organizational needs, facilitating strategy sessions, assessing and coaching high-performing leaders and teams, designing customized leadership development programs, implementing succession planning and talent review processes, and launching project management offices. She brings a deep understanding of organizational dynamics to her consulting engagements and is certified in various organizational development tools. She is also proficient in German.

Current and Recent Coaching/Consulting Assignments

Designed and implemented succession planning processes for multiple clients, incorporating facilitated talent review sessions and customized leadership assessments to drive targeted development closely linked to business priorities.

Created multi-faceted leadership development programs and launched Product Portfolio Management Office to drive increase in new product revenue at global financial services firm; consulted on transformational change and organization redesign, and facilitated all product phase-gate reviews.

Coaching several senior Finance leaders of global agribusiness on leadership presence, building a high-performing team, cross-cultural integration and influencing skills. Coaching has resulted in noticeable behavior change and improved team performance, as validated in 360-degree interviews and recognized by top executives as part of their ongoing talent review/succession planning process.

Designed and facilitated Leading Global Project Teams workshop for clinical trial leaders at pharmaceutical firm to bolster skills in influencing without direct authority in matrix organizations, resulting in commitment by the unit leader and her global team to implement a practical stakeholder management process.

In partnership with Wharton Executive Education faculty, designed and delivered customized internal coaching model and workshop for a global life sciences company and certified a cadre of executives to coach high-potential leaders and drive cultural change.
